Yesterday we took ourselves off to Goring along the coast in West Sussex.
We take the monthly magazine 'Sussex Life' that brings your attention to many of the interesting places to visit in Sussex.
We had heard of this church with a painted ceiling and found out the times that it was open in order to visit.
The ceiling was painted in an exact replica of the 'Sistine Chapel' the original being painted by Michelangelo. I think the lady said that it was one third the size of the original and took 5 years to complete.
This is just a small area taken with my iphone, the whole thing is amazing.
This site has more pictures and info if you want to take a look.
The stained glass windows were breathtaking with the sun shining throught them.
When painting the last supper the artist incorporated his little dog, can you find it?
We were so pleased that we got there just in time to sit in on the lady giving all the info, so interesting.
Recommended if you are ever this way.
