Happy 46th Anniversary to my dear husband Dayle! We got married in 1970 in Louisiana. We had no family or friends there so we got married at a Justice of the Peace and he ran a garage and he had to ask his daughter and son to be witnesses and his son smelled of oil and gas and got black grease on the wedding certificate when he signed it. :-) I made my dress out of a big piece of ivory cloth, I cut a big circle and made a neck hole in it and hand sewed lace around the neck and sleeves and pinned the lace around the bodice with a cameo. I got a circlet of white roses and babies breath for my head and put a velvet ribbon around my neck. I had the forethought to get a professional photograph to commemorate the event. Dayle even rented a tux! We went to dinner at a restaurant in an old Victorian mansion - and were so early that we were the only people there. :-) LOL!
Here we are when we got renewed our vows in 2003 on the Portland Spirit - a touring ship that plies the waters in Portland, Oregon on the Willamette River. This time we had our family and friends with us and treated them all to a wonderful dinner cruise, it was great. We're going out to an anniversary dinner later today at the Columbia Gorge Hotel. :-)
Yesterday was our youngest grandchild's birthday - Caleb turned 7. We all headed to the bowling alley and with us is the boy's friend. Kristi is driving her "new" Mustang. Our son Shawn had to sell his beloved 1967 Mustang due to his move to California, so our son Travis bought it at a good price. He's been working on it and yesterday was Kristi's maiden voyage, driving the boys to town in it.
Dayle snapped this image of a happy Kristi as we're driving next to them. :-)
Caleb is showing his masterful skills of lobbing his bowling ball down the lane. :-) Travis and Kristi both got a few strikes, knocking all the pins down. Dayle and I sat above them and watched the fun, I took my crochet with me and got a bunch of centers done while they bowled.
The gang.
All set to go on to Dairy Queen for dinner.
Happy birthday to you!
My daughter Amy got some professional photos done of their family. She sent me this image of the girls. The girls are off on a weeklong jaunt to Hershey, Pennsylvania for spring break, she and the girls will visit the Hershey Chocolate Factory!
I'm going to swim today, I hope the pool is as empty as it was on Wednesday. Gracie and I had our own lanes for the whole hour, it was bliss! Then home to pick up my dear husband to head up the Columbia River for our romantic dinner. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
