March Charity Nails
Hello all and how quick is this year going!! March already, and with that is the third charity nail art challenge from Sassy Little Nails. I have chosen the NSPCC, as I think this is a wonderful and worthwhile charity. All children no matter what age should have a brilliant childhood, and not put in a position where they live in fear! Sadly I'm in a dream world saying that, but hopefully one day this will happen! I would talk more on this, but it saddens me and also make me very angry!! Click here for more info.
So to my nails...My inspiration came from the colours green and black. Green from the logo itself and black for the FULL STOP. Now considering I don't really wear green polish on its own as I don't think it suits my skintone, I have over half a helmer draw full!! So choosing the green's I wanted for the mani I had in mind was a challenge on its own lol. Anyway I came up with these three green's and black.
Painted my nails white and added a matte topcoat, then made a green gradient using a makeup sponge. The clean up seemed to take longer than making the gradient lol. I stamped the polish three times to get the right shade of each green.
Then with a fine dotting tool and the black polish I added dots to every nail. For me these dots represents the FULL STOPS for every child!
I like this nail art for this charity, but still not sure that green polish suits my skin tone. What do you think?
I'm also doing a Marie Curie 2014 nail art event for the whole of March. Feel free to join and add your own Daffodil or Spring inspired nail art.
Thanks for reading, stay safe and much love....
